Well, it is the beginning of this blog-writing enterprise.  As in many  of my  beginnings, I am not  quite sure what I am doing, much less why I am doing it.  So bear with me, Dear Reader,  and we’ll see where  you and I go.

Fran Leibowitz, I think it was, once wrote that it was cruel to detain a fleeting thought (or words to that effect).  As I remember it, she was writing about poets, blogs not having been  invented yet back in the 80’s.  I do try to avoid the slight and ephemeral in my poetry, and I think I  mostly succeed.  I think the dictum will prove equally important here.
